You might ask yourself the question, why should I evangelize? What is the point? Will it really make a difference? What will people think?
The main reason to evangelize is because the King is comming! We will be caught up and taken out of here in the twinkling of an eye. There is much debate over whether there will really be a "rapture" since the word rapture itself is not in the Bible. If you have heard that there is no such thing as a "rapture", you can be sure that you are listening to someone who doesn't know much about the Bible. 1st Thessalonians 4:16-18 (KJV) says, "For the Lord himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Jesus is coming and it is up to us to obey the great commission which is the last thing that Jesus told us to do before he ascended into Heaven. How many of you know that if that was the very last thing that he commanded us to do that it must have been very important to him and thus our Father God, since they are one. Matthew 28:16-20 "Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
